The right fit for comfort & clarity

Wearing contact lenses isn't just about convenience — it's about getting the right fit for comfort, clarity, and long-term eye health. Contacts offer freedom from glasses, but finding the perfect fit matters.

At Belterra Eyecare, we provide comprehensive contact lens exams and fittings so your lenses feel comfortable, give clear vision, and keep your eyes healthy. We also offer specialty lenses, such as sclerals, for people with unique needs.

What to expect

More than a standard exam

A contact lens exam goes beyond a standard eye exam. Since lenses sit directly on your eyes, we perform a corneal health evaluation to check for any conditions that may affect lens wear.

Contact lens prescriptions differ from glasses prescriptions and require a separate fitting. Your doctor measures your eye shape, tear film quality, and prescription to determine the best lens type for you.

Fittings & follow-ups

A proper fit, fine-tuned

  • Initial fitting and evaluation
  • Trial lenses to see how your eyes respond
  • Follow-up visits to fine-tune your prescription
  • Adjustments to find the best lens for your lifestyle

Insurance may cover part of the cost, but patients are responsible for any remaining fees.

Comfort for complex eyes

Scleral lenses can be a great solution for patients with keratoconus, severe dry eye, or irregular corneas. They rest over the sclera — the white of the eye — creating a fluid-filled cushion that enhances comfort and provides sharp, stable vision.

Because they're custom-fitted to each patient using corneal mapping, sclerals offer stability, all-day comfort, and improved eye hydration — ideal for high astigmatism, post-surgical complications, or extreme prescriptions.
